PrizeSaver winner to use money towards a house deposit
This is the story of Gary, a member of Commsave Credit Union, who recently won £5,000 as part of the monthly PrizeSaver draw.
Gary was persuaded to open a PrizeSaver by his friends right in March 2020.
“My friends who also have PrizeSaver accounts, encouraged me to open my PrizeSaver account in March 2020, right before the lockdown began.
I though it was worth opening an account because even if I didn’t win, I thought the the dividend on the savings was much better than the bank’s offer.”
As credit unions are not-for-profit organisations, they can often provide a competitive annual dividend to savers (dependent on the their profits).
